ROE-CB02 # Test Experiment of Optical Passive Components and Optical Amplifier
  • 产品详情

Introduction

The optical passive device and optical amplifier characteristic testing experiment is an experimental system specially designed to test the main characteristic parameters of EDFA. This experiment can deepen students' understanding of the working principle, basic structure and function of EDFA. At the same time, the experimental system is equipped with a series of optical passive components, such as optical attenuators, optical isolators and optical couplers. They are combined to form an EDFA characteristic testing system, and their performance indicators can also be tested individually. This experimental system adopts an open design and has a compact structure. All tests are conducted using optical fibers to externally connect optical devices, which has good operability and is conducive to the protection of valuable devices. It provides an ideal experimental platform for students to learn and master relevant knowledge about EDFA and optical passive devices.

Experiments

Optical attenuator test experiment (attenuation);

Optocoupler test experiment (insertion loss, additional loss, splitting ratio, directivity);

Optical isolator test experiments (insertion loss, isolation, return loss, polarization-dependent loss);

Measurement of EDFA input, output and ASE noise power;

Calculation of EDFA gain and noise figure;

Drawing of EDFA gain curve;

Calculation of EDFA saturated output power.
