YGP-6223# Damping and Forced Vibration Experiment
  • 产品详情

Introduction

The back and forth motion of an object near a certain position (this position is called the equilibrium position) becomes mechanical vibration. In practical scenarios, vibrating systems are usually in gas or liquid, and they are subject to resistance from the surrounding medium. Due to the effect of resistance, the amplitude of vibration will gradually attenuate over time, so that the vibration cannot last long. To maintain continuous vibration, the outside world must exert continuous periodic external force on the oscillator so that the energy lost due to damping can be continuously replenished. The vibration of the oscillator under the action of periodic external force is called forced vibration, and the periodic external force is called forcing force, or driving force. The phenomenon when the amplitude of forced vibration reaches its maximum is called resonance.

The YGP-6223 damping and forced vibration experimental device uses a motor-driven spring to drive the disk to swing, which perfectly demonstrates the process and effect of damped vibration and forced vibration. The device uses two rotation sensors to record the driving frequency and swing amplitude. It can realize continuous data collection and real-time drawing of experimental data curves, draw "amplitude-frequency" relationship curves, and obtain resonance frequencies, phase relationship diagrams, etc., which greatly facilitates students' understanding of experimental principles and enables them to learn more thoroughly.

Experiments

a) Observe the relationship between the vibration angle and time, measure the resonance frequency, and compare it with the theoretical value

b) Fit the peak and trough envelopes of the damped vibration curve and calculate the damping coefficient

c) Resonance curve measurement and analysis of the impact of magnetic damping on the resonance curve

d) Phase analysis

Features

Wireless rotation sensor, USB2.0 and Bluetooth communication, angular resolution 0.18°.

The double support rods are fixed and the base is stable.

The motor driving frequency, amplitude, and magnetic damping can be adjusted, and the experiment is rich in content and highly explorable.
