SUMMARY
The YLS-8302-06 hydrogen light source is a cold cathode glow discharge tube, which consists of a pair of nickel electrodes enclosed in a rigid glass case. The tube is filled with high purity hydrogen gas and emits the characteristic spectrum of hydrogen when activated by high pressure.
APPLICATIONS
It is used in optical instruments such as V-prism refractometers and interferometers as a monochromatic light source, and can also be used in applications requiring hydrogen spectra such as university physics teaching experiments.
