SUMMARY
YMP-6105 is a set of teaching devices that helps students to familiarize Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and its applications. Testsamples are put in a detection coil connecting to an oscillator and are exposed to an external electromagnetic field. When the oscillationfrequency of the oscillator is close to the resonance frequency of the sample, the RF field energy is absorbed by the sample, causing thearrest of the oscillation and the plunge of the output. Thereafter, the NMR signal can be detected, and the sample’s g-factor can becalculated.
EXPERIMENT PURPOSE
1. to understand the basic principle of NMR.
2. to observe hydrogen nuclei in liquid samples and fluorine nuclei resonance in solid samples.
3. to calculate the g-factor of hydrogen and fluorine nuclei using the swept field NMR experiment.
FEATURES
Adjustable intensity electromagnetic field
Adopt adjustable strength electromagnetic coil as uniform magnetic field, configure high current excitation power supply, can adjust the magnetic field size arbitrarily, and has high uniformity.
Clear experimental resonance signal
The detector is placed on the optical track
The detector is placed on an elevated adjustment frame, which is mounted on top of an optical slide. The detector and sample can be adjusted in both horizontal and vertical two-dimensional directions to provide the clearest possible NMR signal.
The detector sample can be replaced
In addition to the supplied sample for hydrogen and fluorine atoms, an empty sample tube is provided to allow the user to test NMR phenomena on their own materials.
NMR of hydrogen sample
NMR of PTFE sample
