SUMMARY
YMP-6106 is mainly used for experimental teaching of Hall effect in universities. If a current carrier is perpendicular to a magnetic field, an additional transverse electric field will be generated in the direction perpendicular to the current and the magnetic field. This phenomenon iscalled the Hall effect. YMP-6106B Hall effect experiment apparatus adopts a cuboid semiconductor sample placed in a uniformelectromagnetic field. When a current is passed through the cuboid sample, the Hall effect produces a potential in the directionperpendicular to the current and the magnetic field of the sample, that is, Hall voltage.
PURPOSE
1. Understand the principle of Hall effect experiments and the material requirements of Hall devices.
2. Learn to eliminate side effects with "symmetry measurement".
3. Determine the conductivity type, carrier concentration, and mobility of the sample.FEATURES
Modular design
Each module adopts the optical slide seat to adjust the position above the track, which makes the experiment convenient and simple.
"Symmetry measurement" eliminates the influence of unequal potential
There are 2 reverse switches to change the direction of Hall current and magnetic field.
Optional Tesla meter
Optional Tesla meter for magnetic field measurement. The relationship between the magnetic field strength, Hall current and Hall voltage is used to calculate the Hall coefficient, electron mobility, carrier density and the conductivity of Hall element.
Digital experiment
Equipped with 2 voltage sensors, it can be upgraded to digital experiment.
EXPERIMENTS
1. Relationship between Hall voltage and magnetic field
2. Relationship between Hall voltage and Hall current
