Description
The YPM-8202-06 Photodetector is an InGaAs detector designed to cover a range of 800nm to 1650nm. It offers two data acquisition options: a DB15 connection with a meter display and USB connection for direct computer interfacing.
The YPM-8202-06-L model utilizes a DB15 interface, requiring connection to a power meter for data reading, storage, and power monitoring. Additionally, a USB communication interface is integrated into the meter, enabling expanded data collection from the detector. This feature facilitates data uploading to optical power meter software on a PC for real-time data acquisition and analysis.
The YPM-8202-06-U detector features USB communication, eliminating the need for a separate meter and allowing direct computer connection for data acquisition. Installation of optical power measurement software on the computer enables real-time data collection, analysis, and power monitoring. Furthermore, the USB-type photodetector can be effortlessly integrated into a multi-channel power acquisition system. By using a USB hub, data from multiple detectors can be collected and displayed simultaneously.
Digital communication
The detector completes the data acquisition and processing, and uses digital communication with the optical power meter to reduce external interference.
Measurement of free-space light or optical fiber
The detector allows the user to measure free-space light, as well as the laser transmitted through the fiber using our fiber optic connector adapter (FC or SMA).
Calibration data
The calibration data is electronically stored in the detector that corresponds to it. The customer will receive a corresponding calibration report along with the detector upon shipment. This report lists the detector's response to the spectrum within the relevant wavelength range, at 10 nm intervals. If an optional attenuator is present, a separate set of calibration data will also be included in the electronic storage and calibration report. We provide paid calibration services, and to maintain measurement accuracy, we recommend that you calibrate your detector annually.
